Project: Non-profit Makeover

Overview

The Champaign-Urbana Design Orgazization (CUDO), teamed with Do Good Consulting to donate design and branding services for local non-profit Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation. Around fifteen local area volunteers including web and graphic designers teamed up for 1 day at local design agency Surface 51, to provide identity materials, including logo development, business cards, letterhead, and a website.

WICD Local News Coverage

Champaign County Farm Bureau Association was given content management as designers integrated written copy from the web writers, photographs from Heather Miller, and branding from the logo design team into the completed design.

My primary responsibilities included working with logo development toward establishing the Farm Bureau's new identity, and working with the web design team using CSS and content management.

The experience working on a non-profit collaborative project allowed me to work alongside fellow volunteers who all share a passion for good design. I found it to be a valuable and rare opportunity where I also gained insight into fellow designers' working methods and processes.
